Learn MoreBird's eye chili or Thai chili is a chili pepper, a variety from the species Capsicum annuum native to Mexico. Cultivated in Rwanda, is used extensively in many Asian cuisines. It may be mistaken for a similar-looking chili derived from the species Capsicum frutescens. The plants grow into a magnificent bush and can expect a lush harvest in late summer when the bush is full of pods. Capsicum annuum plants tend to stay smaller. About 60 - 80 cm. Some Bird Eyes Chili plants grow up to two meters high. The resemblance to lipstick chili plants is quite large.
The avocado is a medium-sized, evergreen tree in the laurel family and is widely cultivated for its large, fleshy fruit. The tree likely originated in the highland regions of south-central Mexico Its fruit is botanically a large berry with a single large seed. Cultivar varieties available are Hass, Fuerte, Jumbo and Pinkerton. Avocado crop is grown all over the country but predominantly found in Gisagara, Huye, Nyagatare, Nyanza and Rusizi districts. The trees do best at moderate warm temperatures between 15ºC to 30ºC with moderate humidity.

In Rwanda, this chili variety is generally called Piri Piri. Like all chilies it originated from Central America. In Rwanda, their cultivation from seeds begins in January or February. Until mid-May, the chilies can develop well on a windowsill of a south window. Additional sunlight helps the plants grow faster and healthier.
Snow peas is a legume crop. It is a variety of pea eaten whole in its pod while still unripe. Snow peas have the thinner walls of two edible pods variants. Snow peas farming is a relatively new introduction in Rwanda and despite its relatively unsung tales of success in the media-space its high returns combined with a fast growing market make it an irresistible investment venture. One requires about 10 Kilograms of seeds per acre.

In the past have attended several trainings and courses on Crop Management, Good Agricultural Practices, Food Safety, HACCAP, Global Gap, Traceability, Food Hygiene as well as Horticulture marketing. During my working career, I have acquired a wide profile of skills including crop production and management skills, negotiation skills, leadership skills, professionalism and quality packing skills. Besides, I am well versed with International requirements on Food Safety and Sustainability. My career goal is to gain vast expertise in enterprise Quality Risk Management and Business Development. This is achieved while applying proper risk management and governance skills guided by the legal framework governing Food safety and operations of the Agribusiness entity.
Freight & Logistics
Is in-charge of logistics and freight management (including customs formalities and clearing) of all produce originating from the farms and the effective execution of shipments to export market after processing.
Senior Agronomist
Has a Bsc in Agriculture and has sound working experience in the Horticultural value chain field. Having worked in the industry since last 5 years has gained tremendous experience in laboratory analysis on soil and water, seed testing and plant propagation, irrigation scheduling, school vegetable supplies, co-operative management for smallholder farmer's maximum yield, coordination of production and orientation of all Company activities.
Quality Controller (QC)
Is in-charge of quality management and responsible for the sorting, packaging and delivery of fresh products in the required quantity and quality to the market. She is assisted by the Packhouse Supervisor to ensure the Quality Management protocols on all product lines are followed.
