Birdeye Chillies (Red) Fresh

Bird's eye chili or Thai chili is a chili pepper, a variety from the species Capsicum annuum native to Mexico. Cultivated in Rwanda, is used extensively in many Asian cuisines. It may be mistaken for a similar-looking chili derived from the species Capsicum frutescens. The plants grow into a magnificent bush and can expect a lush harvest in late summer when the bush is full of pods. Capsicum annuum plants tend to stay smaller. About 60 - 80 cm. Some Bird Eyes Chili plants grow up to two meters high. The resemblance to lipstick chili plants is quite large.

Avocadoe

The avocado is a medium-sized, evergreen tree in the laurel family and is widely cultivated for its large, fleshy fruit. The tree likely originated in the highland regions of south-central Mexico Its fruit is botanically a large berry with a single large seed. Cultivar varieties available are Hass, Fuerte, Jumbo and Pinkerton. Avocado crop is grown all over the country but predominantly found in Gisagara, Huye, Nyagatare, Nyanza and Rusizi districts. The trees do best at moderate warm temperatures between 15ºC to 30ºC with moderate humidity.

Habanerro Pepper

The habanero is a hot variety of chili. Unripe habaneros are green, and they color as they mature. The most common color variants are orange red and yellow. Habaneros contain potent antioxidants that may decrease the risk of cancer by inhibiting the DNA-damaging effects of free radicals. Capsaicin also acts as an anti-inflammatory agent and can help treat symptoms of arthritis and headaches.

Birdeye Chillies (Green)

In Rwanda, this chili variety is generally called Piri Piri. Like all chilies it originated from Central America. In Rwanda, their cultivation from seeds begins in January or February. Until mid-May, the chilies can develop well on a windowsill of a south window. Additional sunlight helps the plants grow faster and healthier.

Snow Peas Loose

Snow peas is a legume crop. It is a variety of pea eaten whole in its pod while still unripe. Snow peas have the thinner walls of two edible pods variants. Snow peas farming is a relatively new introduction in Rwanda and despite its relatively unsung tales of success in the media-space its high returns combined with a fast growing market make it an irresistible investment venture. One requires about 10 Kilograms of seeds per acre.
